Do you have any questions that haven't been answered?  Hopefully you'll find them here....

I found you on the internet - How long have you existed and how do I know you are trustworthy?  It is wise to scrutinize any company found on the web.  Adventurebug was founded in 1999 after 2 years of intensive research and investigation in this very region.  Had it not been for the international experience and backgrounds of its founders, Adventurebug would not have enjoyed 5 years of continual growth and stability.

Many companies and private groups have performed a number of rigorous checks on our company before committing - we have no problem with this.  If you wish to contact any of our former guests or corporate clients - please request a reference list from us.  If you wish to see the level of cliental we work with click here.  Finally, for more reasons to book with us click here.

There are so many adventure companies around the world now - what makes yours special?  Because we are TRUSTWORTHY, honest, experienced and deliver to your expectations - this is crucial!  We are also LOCALLY BASED and have local knowledge with many years of international travel experience.  Above all we are continually improving our services by offering our unique programs to more destinations and to a wider range of people.  Click here to find out more about our unique attributes.

Are you insured for the activities provided?  Yes of course we are!  We have 2 policies recognized by Spanish law to cover both Civil Responsibility and Accident Assistance for ALL activities and ages. In fact, for our specialist programs like school groups, charities and corporations we employ a 'Risk Management Assessment' beforehand and provide our client with a copy. ALWAYS ENSURE THAT ANY COMPANY LEADING YOU ON AN ACTIVE HOLIDAY IS INSURED!!!

Do you have a minimum number and have you ever cancelled a tour after a client has paid?  Yes, we have a minimum number to make tours cost effective for you our guests - this number is usually 4.  NO, we have never cancelled a tour after a client has paid!  We ensure that our minimum is met prior to accepting money and we do this by keeping in close communication with those booked on our tours. Should you need to cancel your booking with us after paying - we have an industry standard 'Booking Conditions' policy that applies.

What am I getting for my money?  We have NO HIDDEN COSTS... What price we publicize is final and inclusive of what is listed on the website and in our brochure. Normally on Adventure Bug tours you will receive all land transport to and from the meeting point (normally Malaga Airport), all your accommodation in charming, Spanish-operated hotels and guest houses, most meals (depending on the program), guide services, equipment (unless otherwise stated), an orientation package to our region, some entry tickets to attractions and specialized equipment - depending on your activity and you will also have the company and leadership of a friendly Adventure Bug guide for the duration of your trip!

What kind of people take your tours?  Mostly soft-core adventurers with or without travel experience.  Our tours are run on the same model as many of the larger international adventure tour companies - although MUCH more personalized!  Backgrounds, ages and nationalities vary tremendously and the way we design our programs allows us to cater to everybody.
What are your Tour Leaders and Guides like?  Our trip leaders are down to earth, open minded, very experienced and very knowledgeable.  Many are locally based like us and work freelance in the industry.  All our leaders are Spanish speakers and often hold qualifications such as university degrees, adventure sport certifications and first aid.  Ages of our leaders varies from early 20's to retirees and all of them share the ability to adapt to any situation and group dynamics. We have both male and female leaders...

Adventurebug?  Is it really 'extreme' sports you offer or holidays?  The bottom line is that we are a specialist holiday company that caters to the 'easy going / relaxed pace' sort of person.  Sure we offer many extreme sports but only on unique tour programs.  Most of our guests expect gentle tours, plenty of breaks, local expertise and knowledge and a chance to really learn about Spain - this is our specialty.

What are the group sizes and ages on your holidays?  Our holiday group sizes are normally minimum 4 and do not exceed 14 people as we feel anymore would spoil the tranquility and quality of the experience. Ages vary depending on the activity you choose. Adventure Bug caters to all ages and levels of ability so don't be surprised to find an assortment of folks in your group of varying ages. For instance, our Multi Adventure holidays attracts a broad range of ages despite it's seemingly 'young' itinerary!

At the same time, our trekking holidays are a great way to see the mountain landscapes at a more leisurely pace and we attract all sorts of backgrounds on these tours as well. Therefore expect group members between mid-twenties up to pensioners.  Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult and be relatively fit.  Often when families wish to join our tours we tend to steer them towards dates with other families. Backpackers and individual travelers of any age are welcome to take advantage of our specially designed excursions that suit their budgets as well!

Do you cater to families (including smaller children)?

Yes!  And in fact, we now have a series of activities specifically designed for family members during the summer months, weekends, and bank holidays.  Please consult us directly for the latest family programs.
Are there single travelers on your excursions?  Yes, there are plenty of singles with us and these numbers seem to be growing. Single travelers find their holidays deeply enriching and insightful. They are also a great way to meet like-minded people like yourself - and you never know...?!

I am a vegetarian (or require a gluton free diet):

No problem, all of our restaurants can accommodate (sometimes creatively!), to the Vegetarian's needs.  As for gluten free and celiac needs - we can alter the meals to accommodate you as well.

Do I need to be super fit?
No! but how fit you need to be depends on the activity you choose and how well you know yourself! Most of our excursions involve a certain degree of stamina but never any discomfort. We try to make it as clear as possible how much physical activity you holiday will involve. If you can trek in gentle mountain surroundings for 4-6 hours with plenty of breaks or mountain bike off road for periods between 2-4 hours then you'll be fine. We are not a training camp or pursuits center - we are a  specialist holiday company. Your comfort and enjoyment is our priority. We consider the activities you do as a MEDIUM for seeing and experiencing a fascinating land!

Group tours tend to have a stigma attached to them.  How is yours different?
Our Activity based holidays attract like minded people. This for a start makes our groups interesting and dynamic. Our guests share many things in common with each other even if they are from all over the world. Secondly, you never feel that you are with a group being herded around from one site to the next! We are in fact "out of sight" and when we do appear in public - it is our time to ourselves in the hotels and villages. Lastly, our group sizes are small, personal and contain interesting, fun people - you are on holiday after all!

Is there much time for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere on our own?
Of course! Note that each day's activity begins around 9:30 am - allowing you to have a long breakfast and a coffee in the village square or on your terrace. We then spend the best part of the day out in the countryside - stopping for many breaks, lunch and maybe even a siesta while on route! By late afternoon we arrive back at your hotel giving you the entire evening for dinner, exploring the village or just relaxing. If your excursion lasts a week, you will have one free day to do as you please. This free day falls in an area where you can easily travel to excellent attractions such as the Bullfighting town of Ronda or the Arabic city of Granada. We appreciate that the pace of your holiday requires balance - we like this ourselves!

I would like to continue travelling in the region after an excursion with you.  What can I do?
There are plenty of options to suit all tastes and budgets. We can provide you with all this advise and even help to construct an itinerary - free of course!  As travelers like your self, we know that trips of a lifetime don't happen all the time. Therefore, we would love to guide you in the right direction should you choose to extend your visit to our area.

What can I expect from the weather in your region?
For the most part the temperatures are mild. Our Holidays occur in Autumn and Spring-like conditions. This means we avoid the extreme heat of the summer (and the crowds!), but take advantage of the warm, sunny days and clear nights. From December to February it can be a little cool and sometimes wet but the afternoon sun and clear skies are brilliant. Day temperatures in the winter can be as high as 22 degrees Celsius and as low as 5. March to May brings the longer, warmer days offering great colors, full streams and migrating birds - an excellent season (highs of 27, lows 15). September to November is exciting with its changing seasons and color patterns although the biggest advantage is the awesome tranquility of a region shrugging off the busy summer! It’s a fantastic time to be in Andalucia! (highs 25, lows 10).

What happens in case of an emergency?
For every excursion we offer we have an emergency operation plan. Not that our holidays are "high risk" adventures or would ever put you in any danger anyway! We just feel that for your comfort and protection we have a policy of procedures with contacts and options should a group member fall ill or require medical services. All our excursions are within relative zones that have doctors and medical facilities. In fact, all our villages have medical facilities of some sort, pharmacies and ambulance services. Please note, naturally all clients on our tours must have their own personal medical and travel insurance coverage.
