OVERVIEW

"Adventurebug’s new family tour that has something for all ages and abilities! Enjoy a wide range of specialist led activities that are fun, challenging and educational. Cozy hotel accommodation with pools, great food for all tastes and fantastic leaders to entertain throughout the day. "

DESCRIPTION:
Adventurebug’s Family Adventure Week is designed for families seeking an active way of exploring one of Southern Europe’s most diverse and intriguing cultural and geographical regions – Andalucia. The week begins just outside of Malaga in the breathtaking El Chorro Natural Park where craggy peaks surround a crystal clear lake. Here your leaders take you on ‘Discovery Treks’ through tunnels with plenty of swims in both rivers and the lake. We’ll sample kayaking, raft building and even have hand at archery in the wild.

From the lakes we move on to Ronda for a guided tour of this remarkable Phoenician / Roman town and it’s stunning location on a cliff top. After a night in Ronda we explore the steep valleys and ancient white villages of Grazalema National Park with more nature walks and an exciting introduction to rock climbing and abseiling over a natural cave pond! A guided tour of the Pileta Cave and its 25,000-year-old pictographs is a particular highlight!

Another short transfer in our air-conditioned minibus takes us to the fascinating Moorish Valley of the Genil River and to our base of Benarabba. This lovely hotel in a quiet mountain village is a favorite for both parents and children and the easy walks alone in the cork / cherry forests are unforgettable. Whether it’s rope swings across the river or practicing survival techniques – tonight we experience an exciting wilderness camp and hear tales of adventurers of the past and present. A highly rewarding night and always the highlight of the week!

From Benarabba we move on to Adventurebug’s base of Casares for a final day of adventure in the 2000 year old Roman Baths area before finishing up on a Mediterranean Beach for a swim in the sea, play on the beach and relaxation in the thatched beach bars.

Our final celebratory evening in Casares is highlighted by a home-cooked meal in a Spanish Lady’s home and a chance to take in the summer ‘Fiesta’ atmosphere of this lively village!

The next morning we make a final transfer to the airport or to your hotel on the beach if you choose to stay a few more nights – the choice is yours.

DURATION OF TOUR / STARTING DAY:
7 days, 6 nights - starting on Saturdays

"What a fantastic experience! A great week with my daughters, new challenges, a highlight of rock climbing, great treks, wonderful lunches and the ultimate leader! Thanks Matt and Jules!!"
